$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gav 

gav is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gav package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gav *

You will get with gav package name, version, architecture and description in a table

gav package basic information:
